Life as a full time mum
Olinda contracted the utmost deadly HFMD a week ago when we just returned to Lombok.
We has a tough fight together with her monitoring her fever and it was relatively a stressful one as there is no reliable doctor we can refer her to. Thank god, she recovered within the normal time frame.
What came surprise was I got it as well. :(
How to escape when I can't possibly ignore a crying wailing child who wants nothing but comfort from her mum?
As far as I tried many preventive measures, I admit I have not done enough and because of this I'm down as well.
But only when I'm in this state then will be able to fully understand the pain, discomfort, irritation that she went through.
Now I can understand why she has no appetite! The throat feel is like your throat is burning hot whenever a drop of water or a tiny rice grain is being swallowed.
Not to mentioned the needle pain sensation on both hands and feet caused by those red spots!
In my own opinion, HFMD is worst than having chicken pox.
As a mum, life continues after self medication, looking after the household and child.
Thank god, I have a husband who doesn't mind looking after the child for me on weekend putting aside his work while I rest and the simple food fare he get to eat for lunch n dinner.
Wish for speedy recovery! We are missing out a lot of fun!!
