3 days "No Yelling" Challenge
I read an article on internet and the study stated that yelling just doesn't work in the way we thought it will and should. In fact it brings about more harm then good.
I am guilty of the yelling act at times when I feel like pulling out my hairs when everything, anything just seem to go wrong and wrong and wrong......
I am sure I am not the only one but I really need to vent out the frustrations in a way or another then I concluded that the way of venting frustration don't have to be directly at the poor innocent child who probably don't know what she is doing.
A very valuable lesson learnt from this short article and it says "While we cannot choose how the child behave, but we can choose how we react"... it does make hell lot of sense to me.
It is just like a sudden enlightenment that I took up a challenge of no yelling act for 3 days.
I am proud to say I passed the challenge! =D
This challenge may be short and I probably have not seen the full effect/miracle that no yelling act will brings about but there is 1 thing I know that I truly benefit from it and it is I feel good when I know the child is not being yell at and things seem to be more calm than usual.
The lesson has a mental effect on me and I am enjoying it.
I am for the next challenge of no yelling act for 1 week!
Being an impatient person, I prefer to take things slow... wish me luck!
Happy story continues... 6:04 PM
